How much contract drafting costs

The cost depends on the contract type and length, language (one or two), number of parties and whether negotiations are needed. Reviewing a ready draft usually costs less than drafting from scratch. A lawyer gives the exact price after a short brief.

What a contract needs to be valid in Ukraine

Under the Civil Code of Ukraine, a contract is concluded when the parties agree on all essential terms: the subject, the terms named essential by law or necessary for this type of contract, and any term that one party declared must be agreed. Deals between legal entities, and between an individual and a legal entity, are made in writing; written form includes electronic documents.

Notarisation is needed only where the law or the parties require it. We check these requirements for every contract.

Contracts with a foreign element

Where a deal has a foreign element, the parties may choose the law applicable to the contract unless Ukrainian law expressly prohibits it. We propose the governing law, the prevailing language and a dispute resolution method that will actually work for your deal.
