How to start your own it company

Starting an IT company in Ukraine comes down to six decisions before filing: legal form, founders and shares, tax regime, code ownership, team contracts and, where relevant, Diia City. The state registrar reviews LLC documents within 24 hours of filing, excluding weekends and public holidays. How the work goes
- Form — a sole proprietor for one specialist, or an LLC when there are several founders, an investor or a product the company must own.
- Founders and shares — contributions, voting, exit; with several founders, a written shareholders’ agreement.
- Tax — general regime or single tax group 3 within the income cap; VAT depending on clients.
- Code ownership — employee and contractor agreements that transfer economic rights to the company.
- Filing — founders’ decision, charter or model charter, ownership structure, application to the registrar.
- Diia City — for companies that already meet the team, pay and qualifying income requirements.
