E2 visa in the USA

You can get an E2 small investor visa. The investment must be "substantial", but in practice it is much smaller than EB5 (the minimum is $100,000). 

E2 can only be obtained by citizens of countries that have signed the E2 treaty with the US. Ukraine is among the states that have signed the agreement. 

This type of authorization is related to conducting small business in the United States. Investment visa to the United States for Ukrainians does not provide immigration status, is issued for 2 years with the possibility of indefinite extension, practically does not give the opportunity to qualify for a green card and permanent residence, but allows the spouse, children of the entrepreneur under the age of 21 to reside in the country. • the founder must independently manage the company without the right to hold positions in other organizations (there are no employment restrictions for the second spouse, children are prohibited from working in the U.S.);

How to get E2 visa in the USA?

The minimum investment requirements for an E-2 visa are that you invest in a bona fide enterprise. Otherwise, your petition will not qualify. A bona fide enterprise is defined as a real, active commercial firm that produces services or goods for profit.

EB5 investment visa
