Forced return of foreigners is a procedure of expulsion of a non-resident from Ukraine. In recent times, such a procedure is often encountered in practice and is caused by the threat to the national security of the state.

List of grounds for forced return

Refugees can be deprived of such status in the following cases:

• obtaining a similar status in another jurisdiction;
• acquiring citizenship of Ukraine or another country;
• returning to the territory of their state, which they had previously left as a result of fear of persecution;
• there are no circumstances for further stay in refugee status;
• obtaining a residence permit or asylum in another jurisdiction;

• the foreigner or refugee commits actions that violate the requirements of the current legislation of Ukraine;
• the activity of a non-resident threatens national security;
• there is a threat to life, health of Ukrainians or public order on the part of non-residents;
• illegal crossing of the state border.
