Czech Republic visa for Ukrainians

Visa issuance to the Czech Republic is relevant today only for citizens of Ukraine who do not have a biometric passport, as well as those who wish to be employed in the Czech Republic. Those who have them can stay in the Czech Republic for 90 days continuously, then return to Ukraine for 90 days and go to the Czech Republic again for 3 months.

The passport must be valid for at least three months from the end of the trip, and the trip itself must be short-term (not more than 90 days) and must be for tourism, family visits, or medical treatment. A special long-stay visa is required for employment even under the new rules.

Documents for short-term visa

To apply for a short-term visa to the Czech Republic you will need:

• a printed questionnaire with a personal signature;
• a foreign passport and an old passport with visas;
• a copy of your Ukrainian passport;
• health insurance;
• 2 color photos 3,5×4,5;
• certificate from the place of work, which will indicate the salary for 6 months;
• a copy of the license and registration certificate for entrepreneurs;
• traveler's checks, certificate, bank statement - any guarantee of your financial solvency;
• proof of airline ticket booking;
• if you have your own car - a copy of your driver's license;
• students provide a copy of their student card and a certificate from the university;
• pensioners need to take from the Pension Fund about the accrued pension for the last 6 months and a copy of the pension certificate;
• children under 18 years old need permission from both parents.

Consular and visa fees depend on the type of visa and its validity period.

Travel for 90 days or less is allowed with C-type visas.

The right to cross the Czech border one or more times is granted exclusively for:

• tourist purposes;
• commercial, business trips, negotiations;
• studies.

The application is processed in 7-10 days. You must attend the application in person, but you do not need to register in advance. You will need to be fingerprinted (as all children 12-17 years old). The exception is if there is no physical fingerprinting available. In this case, it is possible to do without personal presence.

According to international documents, obtaining a permit will cost 35 euros for the consular fee and 25 euros for the services of the visa center. 20 categories of Ukrainian citizens are exempt from paying the consular fee.

Visa centers are open throughout the territory of Ukraine.
