If you produce or intend to produce alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, copies of audiovisual works and phonograms or medicines, and other goods, you should know that for a certain group of goods Ukrainian legislation provides for mandatory marking with bar codes.

Registration of barcodes is necessary so that the product quickly finds its buyer through a series of packages and checks. That is, a barcode is necessary for practical purposes. This code contains the necessary information about the manufacturer and the product.

In Ukraine, GS1 Ukraine Association has been assigning barcodes, which has existed since 1996. In order for a product to be assigned a barcode, you need to contact this Association. Received barcodes will be valid in almost all countries.

Both legal entities and physical entrepreneurs can become members of the Association.

WHAT GIVES YOU MEMBERSHIP IN THE GS1 UKRAINE ASSOCIATION? THIS GIVES:

• 1) label their products with bar codes in accordance with generally accepted requirements;
• 2) Quality control of printed barcode marks
• 3) carry out electronic data exchange with partners in accordance with world standards;
• 4) use the electronic catalog of Ukrainian goods Depository;
• 5) to receive the normative and technical documentation of the GS1 system;
• 6) participate in educational and promotional activities for automatic identification and electronic data exchange
• 7) get advice on product identification and the practical application of bar coding and electronic data exchange.

STAGES OF THE PROCEDURE:

• 1) With the help of our specialists, you will fill out all the necessary documents

• 4) We deliver a package of documents to the Association "GS1 Ukraine"
• 5) You pay dues
• 6) After a week of review, barcodes are registered
